The Orange County Library System (Website) is hosting LEGOpalooza on Sunday, March 29, starting at 2 p.m. at the Orlando Public Library in downtown Orlando.
The event is free and open to all ages (but mostly kids, so don’t be weird). Activities include hands-on LEGO building, LEGO VR, LEGO-themed crafts, and programming with LEGO Education Spike, which lets kids build and code machines to explore STEAM concepts.
Kids who want to compete can enter their own LEGO creation in the contest for a chance to win prizes. Registration for the contest is broken out by grade level and was required in advance. The registration deadline has passed, but we’re betting if you have a photo of something super amazing, they’d let you show it off (but it would have to be particularly cool, you guys).
Each child entering the contest needed to register using their own Orange County Library System card in good standing.
