
The City of Sanford is looking to hire a new Digital Media Specialist to join its communications team.
The role involves developing and executing digital content across various city platforms, including social media, the city website, and other online communication channels. The position operates under the supervision of the Chief Communications and Cultural Affairs Administrator.
Duties include taking photos and video footage at city functions and events, editing and posting photos and videos, and maintaining secure electronic storage of digital content. They must assist in maintaining the city website and collaborating with other departments to gather and publish relevant information.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field, have at least two years of experience in digital media management or a similar role, and work within a government environment.
