Hollerbach’s closing Oktoberfest season with a free street party in downtown Sanford

Hollerbach’s German Restaurant (Website) will close out Oktoberfest season with a two-day street party in historic downtown Sanford on Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17.

Admission is free, and the party runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday. It takes place at Hollerbach’s German Restaurant, Market Outfitters, and Magnolia Square, just around the corner. Guests are invited to wear traditional German attire, including dirndls, lederhosen, and other Trachten, for what organizers call one last weekend of “authentic German Gemütlichkeit.” If you don’t have any of those duds, you can purchase them onsite from their shop.

The menu features Hollerbach’s favorites, including bratwurst and pretzels. Bier imported from Munich by Paulaner Brewery will also be served.

The King Guys Band, which played last year’s fest, will be performing a mix of polka and Oktoberfest favorites.
