Blues-rock guitarist Alex Kilroy (Facebook) is launching a four-date residency at The Imperial in Winter Park on Saturday, October 24, at 8 p.m., presented by The Modern Music Movement (Website). The show runs from 8 to 11 p.m., and there is no cover.
Kilroy is an Orlando-based guitarist and singer-songwriter who was born in Transylvania, Romania. He trained on classical piano as a child before switching to the blues after hearing Stevie Ray Vaughan. Kilroy released his debut album, “Break My Chains,” on May 15. It was produced by Tres Sasser and recorded in Nashville. He follows it with a seven-track EP, “New Shade of Blue,” due October 23.
The event listing promises “original jams” along with food and drinks at the venue.
