THE OTHER MAIN CHARACTER IN "PRACTICAL MAGIC" IS THE BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN
The Enzian Theater (Website) is hosting a special screening of the 1998 film Practical Magic, giving fans a chance to revisit the story of the Owens sisters and their family curse. Starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, the movie has become a cult favorite for its mix of magic, romance, and family drama.
The screening comes as a sequel to Practical Magic, which has just finished filming. Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are reprising their roles in a new movie based on Alice Hoffman’s novel The Book of Magic, which is the fourth and final book in the series, and picks up with the next generation of the Owens family. The long-running family curse, any man who loves an Owens woman is doomed, comes to a head when a young relative, Kylie Owens, discovers the truth about her family’s magic and her own abilities. Filming of the new adaptation wrapped in September 2025, and the sequel is scheduled for release in September 2026.
The Enzian event offers audiences an opportunity to see the original on the big screen before the story continues next year.
