The five-time Tony Award-winning musical Buena Vista Social Club (Website) comes to the Walt Disney Theater at Dr. Phillips Center for six performances October 20-25, 2026. Single tickets are now on sale.
The show follows legendary Cuban singer Omara Portuondo as she is coaxed out of years of silence by a young record producer offering a rare second chance.
The production won five Tony Awards on Broadway, including Best Choreography (Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck), Best Sound Design, Best Orchestrations, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role. A Special Tony Award was presented to the musicians who make up the Buena Vista Social Club band, and the Original Broadway Cast Recording received the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
The show made its world premiere at New York’s Atlantic Theater Company in December 2023 and was nominated for Best Musical by the Drama League and Outer Critics Circle.
