In the early evening of Monday, July 28, a transformer blew in front of Colonial Photo and Hobby (Website) in the Mills 50 District, right at the intersection of Mills Avenue and Colonial Drive.
At roughly 4:44 p.m. Orlando Fire Department was called to the scene of a “Structural Fire,” according to PulsePoint.org. The incident was dealt with quickly and crews suppressed it within just a few minutes, according to onlookers, with minimal damage, and no injuries were reported. Though the tree is looking a big frazzled. Traffic was blocked at the intersection during the incident.
