The intimate sake lounge Bar Kada (Instagram) quietly closed its doors on Sunday, November 30.
Bar Kada opened in 2024 under the guidance of chef Michael Collantes, known for his Michelin-recognised omakase restaurant, Soseki (Instagram), next door, offering seasonal small plates, ancestral sakes, curated wines and cocktails in a 30-seat lounge setting.
Regulars have long appreciated Bar Kada for its combination of thoughtfully prepared dishes, deep sake selections, and relaxed upscale atmosphere, which helped it stand out in Winter Park’s bar scene.
The announcement of its closure came with a promise of something new coming soon, with social media posts saying, “… this isn’t goodbye, we’ll be sharing good news very soon. Stay tuned for what’s next.”
