The official cause of death for popular Central Florida YouTuber Adam the Woo (YouTube), whose real name was David Adam Williams, is still unknown and may not be confirmed for several more weeks, according to the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.
In a statement provided to Orlando Shine, the medical examiner’s office said:
“At this time, the medical examiner’s report is pending for David Adam Williams. Once the report becomes available, which can take 10-12 weeks, we will contact you.”
Williams, 51, was found dead at his home in Celebration on December 22, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities described it as an “unattended death,” and early statements from law enforcement said there were no signs of foul play.
Since news of his death broke, fans and fellow creators have flooded social media with tributes to the longtime vlogger, who built an audience documenting theme parks, roadside Americana, and Florida life through his channels “Adam the Woo” and “The Daily Woo.”
People close to Williams have suggested privately that the death may have been related to a heart issue, but there has been no official confirmation. Until the autopsy and medical examiner’s report are complete, the cause and manner of death remain undetermined.
Medical examiner timelines can vary widely depending on toxicology testing, lab workloads, and additional investigative steps. The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office notes that reports are issued once the office has completed its evaluation, which can take weeks or longer depending on the case.
The medical examiner will complete the autopsy findings and any required toxicology, then issue a final report. That report is expected in 10–12 weeks, meaning results could arrive sometime in late February to mid-March 2026, based on the office’s estimate.
