The Timucua Arts Foundation (Website) is launching a new monthly speaker series called Timucua Talks, with the first event set for Wednesday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the White House venue, located at 2000 S. Summerlin Avenue [GMap] in Orlando.
The inaugural session, “Stories of Sam Rivers,” features firsthand stories from friends and collaborators of the late jazz musician, including members of the Rejuvenation Orchestra: Benoit Glazer, Doug Mathews, Mike Iapichino, Matt Gorney, and Anthony Cole. Rick Lopez, described as the world’s leading expert on Sam Rivers, will also participate. Wine will be available.
The series is planned for the first Wednesday of every month, with topics covering art, mental health, AI, and more. The May session will focus on Art & Aging, and you can click HERE for the full schedule.
Timucua Talks is presented in partnership with The Central Florida Pledge. Tickets are pay-what-you-like.
