VIDEO: Blue Man Group just opened its new show at Icon Park

Blue Man Group (Website) opened its new Orlando show on May 1 at Icon Park, but it held a big coming-out/media party last night that we were able to attend, marking the performance group’s return to Central Florida after ending its 14-year run at Universal Orlando Resort in 2021. The show takes place in a new 578-seat custom-built theater under The Orlando Eye, and side note, it’s the first theater Blue Man Group has built from the ground up.

The Orlando production features classic Blue Man Group acts along with new content created specifically for the Icon Park venue. The show runs approximately 90 to 105 minutes with no intermission and combines music, physical comedy, non-verbal communication, and audience interaction.

The opening date came after multiple delays. Blue Man Group originally announced plans to open in April 2025, but construction and permitting issues pushed the debut back more than a year. Construction on the 10,000 SF theater along Universal Boulevard was paused for several months before resuming in summer 2025.

The show is family-friendly and open to guests ages 3 and up. All patrons require a ticket regardless of age, and guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets must be picked up at the theater box office no later than 30 minutes before showtime.

Parking at Icon Park is free.
