Tables are still available for the 22nd Dinner on the Avenue, the city of Winter Park’s annual outdoor dining event on Park Avenue. The event takes place Saturday, April 11, from 6 to 10 p.m.
Tables of eight are $175 and can be purchased at the Winter Park Community Center, 721 W. New England Avenue [GMap]. Payment must be made with exact cash or a check made out to the City of Winter Park. A maximum of three tables per person is allowed.
The city provides a table, a black linen tablecloth, and chairs. Everything else, like food, drinks, and décor, is up to the group. Guests can bring a potluck dinner or hire a caterer. Decorated tables are judged at 7 p.m. in categories including most colorful, most elegant, most original, and best TV/movie-themed.
A portion of the proceeds benefits Splash, Float, Swim, a city initiative that provides water safety and swim instruction to Winter Park children before the end of kindergarten.
