Solita Tacos & Margaritas (Website) has closed its downtown Orlando restaurant at 222 S. Orange Avenue [GMap] in downtown Orlando, after just four years in business.
The restaurant, on the ground floor of The Exchange on Orange building at Church Street, closed Friday, October 23. Neither the closing nor the reason has been publicly explained, and no one from the company has commented. It was first reported by our friends at Orlando Business Journal.
The closure comes one day after another Solita restaurant abruptly shut down in Santa Clarita, California. That location closed during lunch service on October 22 and was emptied by the next morning, according to local news outlet KHTS. Both are part of Xperience Restaurant Group, which also operates El Torito and Chevys Fresh Mex.
Solita’s website now lists only its Huntington Beach, California, location.
The Orlando restaurant opened in December 2022 in the former Wahlburgers space, bringing Baja-inspired tacos, wood-grilled meats, margaritas, and weekend brunch to downtown. It was the brand’s first East Coast location.
