'SLEEPING BEAUTY' PROMO IMAGE VIA ORLANDO BALLET
Orlando Ballet (Website) has announced its 2026–2027 season, featuring a mix of returning classics and new works at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (Website) in downtown Orlando.
The season opens with The Sleeping Beauty, running October 15 through 18 with live orchestration from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra (Website). The classic fairy tale follows Princess Aurora, cursed by the vengeful Carabosse and later awakened by Prince Florimund’s true love’s kiss.
The Nutcracker returns December 4 through 27, choreographed by Morris and brought to Orlando by Orlando Health. This year’s run adds new post-Christmas performances on December 26 and December 27. Select shows are designated family-friendly performances with relaxed re-entry and pre-show activities including crown decorating, snowflake-making, story time, and face painting.
Alice in Wonderland runs February 11 through 14, 2027, choreographed by Kenneth Tindall, who previously choreographed the company’s Carmen and Casanova productions.
A mixed repertoire program, Director’s Collection, runs April 2 through 4, 2027, and features three works: Paquita, newly staged by Associate Artistic Director Lisa Thorn Morris; Miroirs, a Mark Godden piece set to music by Maurice Ravel; and Deverell, an original ballet by Morris inspired by his Celtic heritage.
The season closes with Moulin Rouge The Ballet, running May 6 through 9, 2027. The Jorden Morris production returns after last appearing at Orlando Ballet in 2023, following a Paris cabaret dancer named Nathalie as she rises through the ranks of the Moulin Rouge.
