Picket Fence Bakery finds new home with Phat Ash Bakes after City shuts down curbside storefront

MARCY BLAKE BEING FEATURED ON FOX 35'S "THE 407"

The teams from Picket Fence Bakery (Instagram) and Phat Ash Bakes (Instagram) are teaming up.

Marcy Blake became a local sensation in her Orlando neighborhood when she set up a little Florida Cottage Bakery to showcase her delicious baked goods curbside in front of her home, via a cute little stand that she would wheel down her driveway every weekend. It quickly became a bit of a “thing” on social media with plenty of influencers and foodies trying to snatch a loaf before they inevitably sold out (I say from experience because I never got there on time). In fact, they became such a popular occurrence that the City of Orlando shut down her operation, saying it was causing too much traffic and had become a nuisance. So dumb.

Now, the team at Phat Ash Bakes has offered up their Milk District storefront for Blake to sell her sourdough, bread dips, and dog treats. According to a video they dropped on social media earlier today, pre-order pickups will be available at the shop on Saturday, from 2 p.m. to midnight, but if you can’t make it, you can swing by noon-9 p.m. Sunday. But for optimal yumminess, you should make it a point to get there on Saturday.

Blake’s menu changes each week, so you have to follow her on socials or check in on her pre-order site, HERE.

Phat Ash Bakes’ Milk District storefront is located in the Milk Stacks Apartments at 221 S. Bumby Avenue [GMap].
