GRAFFITI ARTIST THROWING UP A NEW PIECE AT THE NASH ORLANDO
The Pintura Project (Instagram) street art festival took over The Nash Orlando (Website) in the West Lakes neighborhood today, and Orlando Shine was on the ground to capture it.
The free annual festival, founded in 2008 by Angel “Staz” Carreras, ran from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 36 N. Nashville Avenue [GMap], where graffiti artists and local muralists spent the day painting large-scale works across the walls of the property. By the end of the day, all of the murals at The Nash had been swapped out for a full refresh of the outdoor gallery that makes the venue one of the more visually interesting spots in Orlando (it started as more of an “in-between” space behind the Hittn’ Skins (Instagram) warehouse off of OBT and has been transformed into an outdoor event space).
Live DJs and MCs kept the energy up throughout the day alongside local vendors and food trucks. Check out these photos from the event.
