Orlando Public Library explores why zombies matter in free October 16 talk

The Orange County Library System will host “Studies in Horror: Zombies,” a free discussion on what zombie stories tell us about modern fears, on Friday, October 16, at the Orlando Public Library downtown.

The session is part of the library’s “Why Horror Matters” series, and participants will “discover what the undead have to say about the living,” according to the event description. The conversation focuses on zombie media and the fears it reflects, including death, disease, urbanization, survival, and identity. Attendees are also invited to take on “the evergreen debate of fast vs slow moving zombies.”

The event runs from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Albertson Room on the third floor of the library near Lake Eola. It is for adults 18 and older. Registration is required, and 15 seats were still available at the last check on the event page. Full details and registration are available HERE.
