Orlando International Airport has reached a major milestone, announcing Florida’s first-ever nonstop passenger charter flights to the Asia-Pacific region. In partnership with ZIPAIR Tokyo (Website), the airport will launch direct service between Orlando and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport beginning in February 2026. The new flights mark a historic first not only for Orlando but for the entire state, connecting Florida directly to Japan and the broader Asia-Pacific region for the first time.

The announcement was made in Tokyo at the Hotel New Otani, with representatives from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, ZIPAIR, Disney, and Florida’s Department of Commerce in attendance. Orlando International Airport CEO Lance Lyttle called the partnership “more than just a new route, it’s history,” emphasizing the importance of the new link for economic growth, cultural exchange, and tourism. “This will be the first-ever nonstop passenger flight between Asia-Pacific and the state of Florida,” Lyttle said, noting that Tokyo has long been Orlando’s largest unserved Asian market.

ZIPAIR will operate four round-trip charter flights between February 23 and March 10, 2026. Flights are expected to be roughly 17 hours long, with current flights requiring roughly 29 to 42 hours, depending on the number of stops along the way.
