Orlando City SC has signed defender Clovis Archange (Instagram) to a first-team contract, the club announced Thursday, and has signed through the 2027 calendar year with club options for 2028 and 2029. Born in Douala, Cameroon, and raised in Montreal, the Jacksonville-based defender has beome just one of the latest products of Orlando City’s academy-to-first-team pipeline (just like DeBary-born Tristan Himes).

The 17-year-old anchored the Orlando City U-18 team that won the 2025 Generation adidas Cup at IMG Academy in Bradenton, a tournament featuring 80 teams from MLS academies and international clubs across four continents. Archange was named to the Generation adidas Cup Rising XI ahead of the event.

Archange has represented Canada at the youth level, making four appearances for the U-17 national team, including three starts at the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Championship. He was also called up to Canada’s U-20 squad for the 2026 Tournoi Maurice Revello in France, where he made three appearances.

With Orlando City B, Archange has made six appearances across all competitions in MLS NEXT Pro, including four appearances and a start in 2026 following his recovery from a knee injury sustained last year.
