Sandbox VR (Website), the fancy full-body virtual reality gaming venue, is opening its first Central Florida location at Pointe Orlando (Website) on July 25, bringing immersive high-tech entertainment to the the I‑Drive corridor.
The venue will bring five private “holodeck” rooms equipped with full-body motion capture, haptic vests, and immersive VR headsets, where teams of two to six players can choose from nine adventures to go on, including combat, horror, fantasy, and family-friendly experiences. They even have a Squid Game VR game.
They’ll have motion sensors on your wrists and ankles too that let players see and interact with each other while in the game. Afterwards, you get a personalized highlight reel that documents your whole session so you can laugh at you mom.
To celebrate the launch, the grand opening will run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. with ticket pricing beginning at $50, subject to demand.
