Hidden in a tucked‑away industrial corner of College Park’s warehouse district on Coolidge Avenue, The Gnarly Cuban (Website) has officially opened a new concept called La Ventanita (Instagram), a walk‑up window serving up nostalgic Cuban flavors for breakfast and lunch.
Founded by childhood friends Marly Matos and Nina Cruz, both first‑generation Cuban‑American women, The Gnarly Cuban began as a grassroots catering and pop‑up venture during the pandemic. La Ventanita, which means “small window” in Spanish, and they are a popular type of vending concept in Miami.
Hours are currently 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday to Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and it will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. You can find it at 2545 Coolidge Avenue [GMap].
