Comedian Dane Cook (Instagram) will perform at Hard Rock Live Orlando on October 17, as part of his Live in ’25 tour. The stop marks one of several across the U.S. this year as Cook continues to return to large venues after several years out of the national spotlight.

Cook first broke out in the early 2000s as one of stand-up’s biggest names. He gained massive popularity online through MySpace and was one of the first comedians to use social media to build a following. His albums Harmful If Swallowed (2003) and Retaliation (2005) both went platinum, and he became one of the few comics to sell out Madison Square Garden. Cook also starred in a run of comedies, including Good Luck Chuck, Employee of the Month, and Waiting.

By the 2010s, Cook’s fame cooled after criticism from peers, accusations of joke theft, and a general shift in the comedy landscape. In recent years, he’s taken a more reflective approach to his career, speaking openly about anxiety and how fame affected him. In 2014 he shared with GQ that therapy helped him manage the pressures of public life, and he admitted in another interview that he once skipped a Saturday Night Live audition because of a panic attack.

The Live in ’25 tour mixes new material about relationships, aging, and fame with updated versions of older routines that first made him famous. He’s also attached to a small independent film project titled Boris Is Dead.
