Kiwi Camera Service (Website) will host its first workshop, an introduction to cyanotype printing, on Sunday, August 23 from 2 to 6 p.m. at its Ivanhoe Village location.
The workshop, led by local visual artist Davvon Branker, will cover the basics of cyanotype printing, including creating a digital negative, chemical safety, and material selection. A cyanotype is an old camera-less photographic printing process that uses sunlight to create monochromatic images in a deep shade of blue. It was invented in 1842 by Sir John Herschel.
Kiwi Camera Service is located at 542 Virginia Drive [GMap] in Orlando, just across the street from GB’s Bottle Shop. More information and tickets are available HERE.
