C&C Productions (Instagram) will present its annual Amateur Burlesque Contest on Sunday, August 30, at The Dust (Website) in downtown Orlando.
The contest gives emerging burlesque performers the chance to compete before a live audience, with contestants presenting original acts judged on creativity, stage presence, costuming, performance style, physicality, and charm.
Unlike traditionally judged competitions, the winner will be determined entirely by audience vote. Last year’s winner, Von Bruja D’vyne (pictured), will close the show with a farewell performance before crowning her successor.
“C&C Productions has always believed in creating opportunities for new performers to find their voice on stage,” producer Jaimz Dillman said. “This contest has become one of our favorite annual events because it celebrates fresh talent while bringing together Orlando’s vibrant burlesque community.”
C&C Productions is an Orlando-based live entertainment company producing burlesque, cabaret, variety, and theatrical events throughout Central Florida.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m. Admission is $20, with tickets available HERE for purchase.
