Job Alert: Facilities Project Coordinator at City of Orlando

The City of Orlando is hiring a Facilities Project Coordinator to support maintenance and repair work across several major city-owned facilities, including the Kia Center, Camping World Stadium, Harry P. Leu Gardens, and the Mennello Museum of American Art, along with a planned amphitheater and multipurpose sports facility (we’re guessing that’s the upcoming$500 million Westcourt Entertainment District).

The role provides technical, administrative, and supervisory support to a facility manager and focuses on coordinating projects that keep venues operating safely during day-to-day use and major events. Duties include supervising maintenance and repair projects across building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural), supporting preventive maintenance programs, ordering tools and materials, overseeing outside contractors for scope and safety compliance, conducting facility condition assessments, and maintaining project records and documentation.

The posted pay range is $31.51 to $41.75 per hour. The application deadline is Friday, January 31.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree (or trade school coursework) in facility management or a related area plus four years of experience in building construction and maintenance operations for a public facility, including two years in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Florida driver’s license is required, and the position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
