Harry P. Leu Gardens (Website) will host its 29th Annual Plant Sale this Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is free for both days.
The event will feature more than 50 growers and vendors selling directly to the public. The selection includes orchids, bromeliads, native plants, fruit trees, palms, roses, herbs, butterfly plants, gingers, heliconias, plumerias, ferns, bamboo, and more, along with outdoor garden accessories. Visitors are encouraged to bring a wagon or plant cart. The sale runs rain or shine.
Members of Harry P. Leu Gardens get early access both days, starting at 8 a.m., and should bring a valid membership card and photo ID. Guests of members may enter at 9 a.m.
Food vendors on site include Copper Rocket, Foxtail, The Gnarly Cuban, Kaleido Pops, Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, Phat Ash Bakes, Swine & Sons, and Wild Rabbit Bistro. Two ATMs will be available in the gardens, and most vendors accept credit cards.
Parking is available at several lots approximately a quarter mile from the Nebraska Street entrance, including locations along North Mills Avenue. Pets are not permitted.
