Grand Bohemian Orlando rebrands as Hotel Beauden

Grand Bohemian Orlando has begun its next chapter as Hotel Beauden (Facebook | Website), an Autograph Collection Hotel, introducing a new brand identity while keeping the same leadership team and staff behind the downtown property for the past 25 years.

According to a company spokesperson, the name, pronounced “Boh-den,” draws on Orlando’s designation as The City Beautiful, but doesn’t really expand on how. We did ask, but we’re still waiting for them to unpack it. Here’s what they said, so you can make your own decision:

“The thinking behind the Hotel Beauden identity is really about giving the hotel a name and brand that more intentionally reflect its longstanding role in Downtown Orlando and where the city is headed today. Inspired by Orlando’s identity as ‘The City Beautiful,’ Beauden allows the hotel to lean further into its connection to the city’s arts, culture, culinary scene and civic life, while creating more opportunities for locally rooted programming and partnerships.”

The hotel’s signature restaurant and bar, formerly The Boheme and Bosendorfer Lounge, has been reintroduced as Libra, as a nod to “balance.” Led by executive chef Francisco Sillero, the menu draws on Hispanic, Floridian and Asian influences, with dishes like smoked crab dip with fried garlic gremolata and crispy wonton, pork belly with soy glaze, pickled carrots and toasted cashew, and seared salmon with local grains, poblano crema and roasted tomatillo chow chow. The hotel will continue its Sunday Jazz Brunch, held every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., featuring unlimited mimosas, live entertainment and stations like a cinnamon roll cart, carving station, omelet station, and dessert wall. Don’t lick it.

A new lobby mural, “The Beautiful Becoming” by American artist Amy Rader, draws on Orlando’s lakes and “spirit of reinvention,” with nods to Lake Eola, the city’s (former) swans and the hotel’s signature gold geometric pattern. The hotel has also reworked The Rotunda into a central gathering space with new banquette seating, soft lighting, tea-height tables with stools, and drapery added for improved acoustics. The changes build on an $18 million renovation of all 248 guest rooms and public spaces completed in 2024.

Later this fall, the hotel plans to roll out locally inspired programming, including a new partnership with the Steinway Society of Central Florida centered on a newly installed Steinway grand piano in The Rotunda.

“Hotel Beauden reflects where Downtown Orlando is today: creative, confident, and constantly evolving,” Benjamin McCarney, general manager of Hotel Beauden, said in a statement. “With this new chapter, our hotel will be even more rooted in the culture and energy of our city, with an identity that celebrates this connection in a new way. And while our name is changing, guests, neighbors, and partners can expect the same team, the same commitment to service and welcoming experience we have been proud to deliver for 25 years.”

The hotel is located steps from the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Kia Center, Church Street, City Hall, and Lake Eola Park. Rates start at $309 per night.
