The Winter Park Institute (Website) has announced that former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (Website) will be the featured Spring speaker for its first 2026 speaking event.
The 2026 series is organized around the theme “Human Flourishing: How We Live Well Together,” framing the season around leadership, character, and civic responsibility. Rice, who served as the 66th U.S. Secretary of State and previously as National Security Advisor, is currently the Tad and Dianne Taube Director of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and also holds academic roles at Stanford.
Winter Park Institute shared that the event will be moderated by Brian Besanceney, Rice’s former chief of staff and the immediate past board chair of Orlando Health. The Institute also plans to accept public questions through its website.
The announcement follows recent news that the Winter Park Institute is in an expansion phase and has brought on Mark Freid as executive director, with the group positioning itself for more frequent and higher-profile programming.
Additional details, including the event date, time, and ticket information, will be announced at WinterParkInstitute.org soon.
