The 21st annual Central Florida Veg Fest (Facebook | Website) returns to Orlando Festival Park on Saturday, October 24, with free admission from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Orlando Festival Park is located at 2911 E. Robinson Street [GMap] in the Milk District. The festival is organized by Vegetarians of Central Florida and bills itself as one of the largest and longest-running vegan festivals in the world.
This year’s event will feature more than 200 vendors and 100 contributors, along with speakers including special guest VeganEvan, live acoustic music, and food preparation demonstrations. Family-focused offerings include a Veggie Kids Zone, an Animal Haven exhibit, an Artist Corner and Mind Body Spirit activities.
The festival is family-friendly, dog-friendly, alcohol-free and smoke-free, and organizers say they aim to run it as a zero-waste event through solar power, recycling and composting stations, compostable vendor materials and encouragement for attendees to bring reusable containers.
