Ask The Shine: What’s up with Three Odd Guys Brewing in Apopka?

A recent tip came in through our “Click, Speak, Be Heard” service about some odd things that may be happening over at Three Odd Guys Brewing in Apopka. Now, thanks to an update provided by Orlando Business Journal, we have a good idea of what’s happening. Though we couldn’t find any reference to the Reddit posts they were referencing in the message, so take that with a grain of salt.

Three Odd Guys Brewing (Website) is closing its downtown Apopka location as the owners prepare to relocate to (open a new one) Orlando’s Creative Village district. The Apopka brewery, located on East 5th Street, has been a local gathering spot known for its small-batch craft beer, pizza, and live music.

According to their post on Instagram, they have discontinued their pizza service effective immediately, but will continue to serve beers through October 31. They will continue to operate their locations in Parramore and Longwood.

The new location is expected to open in the UnionWest building within Creative Village, pending final lease and permit approvals. Because the site is within 500 feet of the OCPS Academic Center for Excellence, state law requires the business to earn at least 51 percent of its revenue from food and non-alcoholic beverages. This means Three Odd Guys will expand its food offerings and reposition itself as more of a restaurant than a taproom.
