Zymarium Meadery (Instagram | Website), Orlando’s first and only meadery, is bringing back its Dark Ritual Halloween celebration for a fourth year, running Thursday, October 1, through Saturday, November 7.
The annual pop-up transforms Zymarium’s taproom with immersive spooky decor that goes well beyond standard Halloween decorations, paired with a dark-themed soundtrack throughout the run. Mostly because the owners are the spookiest kids on the Mills 50 block and know what’s up.
They’ll be featuring a new Halloween menu to complement the transformation of the bar, headlined by the meadery’s annual seasonal release, Endless Dark Ritual, a triple berry mead the event is named after. The lineup also includes Pumpkin Spice Coquito Mead, Forbidden Orchard, a yuzu mead made in collaboration with Japanese brewery UCHU, Ultraviolet Binding Elixir, an ube mead, Witch of Persia, a pistachio baklava-inspired mead, and Blood of the Elder Gods, served in a blood bag (in the photo above). A non-alcoholic Pumpkin Chai Slushie is also going to be available for purchase. Guests can order individual pours or a flight to sample the full lineup, if they’re feeling flirty.
Zymarium is also going to be running Halloween-themed programming throughout October. Moonlit Melancholy (Instagram) will offer tarot readings on select dates, starting October 1 from 8 p.m. to midnight, along with a ticketed tarot reading class on October 18. Scary movies play on the big screen in Zymarium’s event space every Friday and Saturday night throughout the run, and Magic: The Gathering play nights continue every Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. A DIY costume meetup and contest through Craft Club is set for Tuesday, October 27, and Cinnabar (Website) will host a movie night on Wednesday, October 14.
