Duckpin bowling comes to The Villages with Woodrows opening

PHOTO VIA WOODROWS FLORIDA

Woodrows DuckPin (Facebook | Website) opened Thursday, September 17, at 11 a.m. in downtown Middleton, part of The Villages, with 10 duckpin lanes, plus a full-service bar and food options, to the communtitty.

Duckpin bowling is apparently different from traditional bowling in a few key ways. The balls are smaller and have no finger holes, and the pins are shorter and smaller, making strikes harder to come by and bowlers get three rolls per frame instead of two. And no bowling shoes are required, so you can roll in wearing whatever you want.

Woodrows has a full-service outdoor bar, a snack menu and gathering spaces for groups and celebrations. Guests can also order food from neighboring downtown Middleton restaurants through local delivery services without leaving their lane – but the press release didn’t say if it gets delivered or if you have to drive your golf cart somewhere to pick it up yourself.

The new Woodrows DuckPin is located at 2298 Randy McDaniels Way [GMap].
