Nuri’s Tavern in downtown Orlando has new owners

Nuri’s Tavern (Website) in downtown Orlando has new owners, according to a post shared by the restaurant on Instagram.

“A new chapter for Nuri’s begins,” the restaurant wrote in the post. “Same neighborhood. Same Nuri’s you know and love. New owners, big plans, and so much more to come.”

The post did not name the new ownership group or provide further detail on the sale. OrlandoShine has reached out to the new owners for more information and has not yet received a response. This story will be updated when more details are available.

Nuri’s Tavern opened in February 2025 at 63 E Pine Street [GMap], in a space that previously housed the Robinson Coffee Room. The tavern-style pizza concept was founded by the Mawardi Brothers and Team Market Group, the hospitality group behind Primrose Lanes, The Wellborn, and Alfie’s HiFi. Executive chefs Nick Grecco and Jason Campbell developed Nuri’s menu, known for its thin, crackly crust pizzas cut into squares in the Midwestern tavern style, along with a Caesar salad that quickly built a local following.

It is not yet clear whether Team Market Group remains involved with Nuri’s in any capacity following the ownership change, or what changes, if any, guests should expect at the restaurant going forward. TMG also recently divested of Plantee’s and Taco Kat and has placed The Acre event venue on the market.
