Track Shack (Website) has opened registration for the 50th running of the OUC Orlando Half Marathon, set for Saturday, December 5, in downtown Orlando around Lake Eola Park, with roughly 5,000 participants expected to participate across the race weekend.

Founded in 1977 by the City of Orlando as the Tangerine Bowl Half Marathon, the race is touted as Florida’s first half-marathon and has run for 49 consecutive years in downtown Orlando.

The full weekend lineup includes a bib pickup and expo on December 3-4, the half-marathon on December 5, and the Suncoast Credit Union Lake Eola 5K on December 6. There’s also the DTO 16.2 Challenge, which combines both races for a two-day experience. The 5K benefits WESH 2’s Share Your Christmas Food & Fund Drive in support of Second Harvest Food Bank.

New this year, the race will debut an Intellectual Impairments Division, expanding the event’s adaptive athlete program. The weekend also features an Athlete Development Program with a $23,000 prize purse for elite distance runners, including those with eyes on the LA 2028 Olympics.

Pricing for the half-marathon starts at $130 through June 30, rising to $160 by race weekend. The 5K starts at $45. Groups of three or more save 15% with code friendsandfamily. Register at OrlandoHalfMarathon.com.
