Electroclash icon Peaches (Website) will perform at The Beacham on February 21 at 6 p.m., one day after releasing her first album in over a decade. The show comes on the heels of No Lube So Rude, which drops February 20 via Kill Rock Stars. The 11-track album blends electronic, dance, punk, industrial, and pop music and was recorded in Berlin with producer The Squirt Deluxe.

“When the world is friction, lube isn’t a luxury,” Peaches said about the album. “It’s a necessity. It’s how you turn that friction into pleasure, into power, into pride. I want people to understand that they can still have a voice no matter who they are or what the world says about them.”

Peaches, born Merrill Nisker, broke through with her 2000 debut The Teaches of Peaches and its hit single “Fuck the Pain Away.” Since then, she’s collaborated with Iggy Pop, Daft Punk, Christina Aguilera, and Yoko Ono.

The No Lube So Rude Tour features support from Model/Actriz (Website). One dollar from every ticket supports the Trans Justice Funding Project, which funds trans-led grassroots organizations. The show is 18 and over, and you can click HERE for tickets.
