Tactical Brewing announces major expansion with new Baldwin Park location

Tactical Brewing (Website) is preparing for a major move, after sharing plans earlier today to relocate to a much larger space in Baldwin Park. The brewery has signed a lease for the Metro Gymnastics building at 4915 New Broad Street [GMap], a spot co-owner Doug Meyer says the team has had its eye on for years. “We’ve always felt that it was built for a brewery,” Meyer said.

The new space is three and a half times larger than Tactical’s current taproom, giving the brewery the room it needs to expand production, improve workflow, and build out a more ambitious guest experience. The property includes large bay doors that will streamline brewing operations and deliveries and allow the team to scale up significantly. Brewing capacity will increase dramatically, with room to add more fermentation tanks and equipment over time. “We’re going to grow into it,” Meyer said.

Tactical has already signed the lease, but the current tenant must relocate before build-out can begin. If the transition stays on schedule, the team expects to move in early 2026.

One of the biggest changes coming with the new space is the ability to host full concerts and live music. With no residential units above the building, Tactical will be able to open the doors to larger events without the noise restrictions that limit many Baldwin Park venues, located in mixed-use buildings. The team is also planning a food-hall-style setup featuring around five food vendors at a time on year-long leases. The operators have already been handpicked based on relationships and collaborations developed over the past five years, with official announcements coming soon (we tried to get the tea).

Meyer says Baldwin Park’s existing food scene, home to award-winning destinations like The Osprey and Seito Sushi, makes the neighborhood an ideal fit. “Baldwin is such a great food destination. We’ll be bringing some other options that Baldwin doesn’t have quite yet,” he said.

The new building also comes with a large outdoor patio, creating additional space for events, dining, and community gatherings.

This Sunday, they’ll be celebrating their 7th anniversary at their current home at 4882 New Broad Street [GMap] with their annual anniversary block party, running from noon to 5 p.m. The event will feature live music by Ancient Sun (Instagram), food pop-ups curated by Orlando Parking Lot Party (Instagram), local swag, beer releases, and armored combat featuring fighters from Castle Tournaments (Instagram).
