The Thornton Park Neighborhood Association (Website) will mark 25 years of its signature neighborhood fundraiser when the 25th annual Taste of Thornton Park returns Thursday, November 5, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Guests get unlimited samples of food and adult beverages from Thornton Park restaurants and businesses, with the neighborhood taking over Hyer Avenue and Washington Street around the iconic Four Rivers Fountain for the night.

The event is the association’s largest fundraiser of the year and originally helped pay for the fountain at Washington Street and North Hyer Avenue, which is modeled after the Fontaine de la Place Louvois in Paris, with each figure representing one of the four great rivers of France.

Past proceeds have supported upkeep of the fountain, the neighborhood’s annual Easter egg hunt, its quarterly newsletter, and holiday luminaries.

Advance tickets are $45. Tickets purchased on the day of the event or at the door are $55. The event is 21 and older, and IDs will be checked at the gate. Children, strollers, and pets are not permitted, and the event will be held rain or shine.
