Winter Park Library (Website) has a fun service for local book clubs that allows them to check out free Book Club Kits, starting this October, in time with National Book Month.
The program offers a curated collection of 56 titles, with each kit including multiple copies of a single book, discussion guides, and other materials designed to support group conversation. The collection includes both adult and youth titles, offering options for groups of different ages and interests – probably nothing about milking minotaurs, though.
The kits are made possible through support from Dr. Michael Perelman and circulate at no cost. Lazar said the library adds new titles to the collection each year to keep it fresh, noting there’s a kit available whether a group reads mysteries, romance or historical fiction.
Book Club Kits can be checked out with a Winter Park Library card and are available to browse online or explore in person at the library.
