Virgin Atlantic moving to Terminal C at Orlando International Airport

PHOTO VIA ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Virgin Atlantic says it is relocating its operations at Orlando International Airport starting June 30. Beginning that Tuesday, the airline will shift all arrivals and departures from Terminal A to the much fancier Terminal C, affecting passengers flying nonstop between Orlando and London Heathrow, Manchester, and Edinburgh.

Virgin Atlantic has operated at MCO since 1992. It currently operates nonstop daily service to both Heathrow and Manchester, increasing to twice daily during peak travel periods, along with a seasonal twice-weekly flight to Edinburgh.

The move coincides with the opening of a Terminal C expansion that adds four new MARS gates, which are capable of handling up to eight narrow-body aircraft or four widebody jets. Terminal C opened in 2022 and is already home to most of the international carriers serving Orlando.

Airport officials say the relocation is part of a broader effort to balance passenger traffic across the complex and create a more predictable flow at security checkpoints and concessions. And for that, we thank them.
