The momentum with the Watering Hole, Broken Strings, and Heat Wave exemplifies the future growth potential of the West Church Corridor.”

Palmer’s Feed and Seed (Website), the third-generation family-owned store that has anchored the Parramore neighborhood since 1947, has a new side hustle: a bar.

The Watering Hole is a new outdoor deck area at the 912 W. Church Street [GMap] store, outfitted with picnic tables, umbrellas, and a fire ring, and open on Orlando City and Orlando Pride soccer game days as a pregame gathering spot.

As owners Allison and Jeff Palmer put it on the store’s website, they had been parking cars for Orlando Pride games and noticed a lack of nearby places to hang out before kickoff, so they opened a bar at the feed store.

Drinks are available for $5, and food comes courtesy of food trucks set up in the courtyard. And because it’s still a feed store with live animals on the property, early arrivals can pay to park and let kids hang out with the chickens before walking to the stadium. The store’s mini donkeys, pigs, and goats are also on the premises, and Palmer’s has reportedly suggested that petting the baby donkey brings the team good luck.
