Sanford’s Theater West End (Website) is staging a new production of American Psycho as part of its 2025 MainStage Series, adapted from Bret Easton Ellis’s infamous 1991 novel and the subsequent 2000 film starring Christian Bale. The show follows Patrick Bateman, a wealthy Wall Street banker whose sexy and polished exterior hides violent impulses and a penchant for murder. (But I can fix him).
The musical, created by Duncan Sheik and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, reimagines Bateman’s story through a satirical lens and features an electronic pop music soundtrack.
Performances take place at the theater’s downtown Sanford venue at 115 W. First Street [GMap], with tickets priced at $25. The show runs from October 17 to November 2. Click HERE for more info.
