After operating for months as a boutique wine-and-beer venue, The Imperial on Park (Website) has quietly launched a full cocktail program, thanks to a creative workaround that sidesteps Winter Park’s restrictive liquor licensing.
Instead of seeking a costly local license, the new space on Park Avenue partnered with Winter Park Distilling Company (Website), which granted them legal rights to serve spirits distilled on-site, including vodka, whiskey, and rum.
As a result of the partnership, The Imperial has rolled out a curated list of cocktails, focusing on the distiller’s expanding product lineup. Expect classic and seasonal cocktails served alongside the Imperial’s signature small plates.
The Imperial on Park opened earlier this year at 136 S. Park Avenue [GMap], taking over the former Parkview wine bar space with an updated food menu under executive chef Drew Weisner and co-owner John Washburn.
