The Good Pour (Website), the philanthropy-driven wine and spirits shop in Winter Park, says it has donated half a million dollars to nonprofits since opening and is marking the milestone with a free rooftop event this Wednesday, April 22, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The party includes a cocktail reception, live music, complimentary tastings, light bites, and a nonprofit spotlight program where charity partners share their stories. The night ends with a check presentation (but we don’t know to whom).
The store’s model lets customers direct a portion of every purchase to a nonprofit of their choice through the Pour Board and mobile app. On Wednesday, all givebacks will be doubled for purchases made in-store from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Co-founders Ray and Giuliana Horal are also expanding with new locations announced for Naples, Lake Mary, and Gainesville’s Jonesville this year, with Apopka on the horizon. More at goodpour.com.
