The 157th Silver Spurs Rodeo (Website) takes place June 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee. The rodeo weekend begins with the Miss Silver Spurs Pageant on Thursday, June 4, at 6 p.m. The free event is open to the public.
The rodeo features eight classic events: bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, team roping, tie-down roping, women’s breakaway roping, and steer wrestling. Youth events include junior barrel racing, junior bull riding, and the Junior Quadrille Team.
Veterans and active-duty military personnel receive a free hot dog or hamburger with a drink each night. Vouchers must be collected at the box office with valid ID. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Opportunity Center, Inc. and other area nonprofits.
