Rosen Hotels & Resorts (Website) has begun what the company calls the most significant renovation in its 52-year history, redesigning 2,300 guest rooms, suites, and corridors across two of its largest properties, Rosen Plaza and the AAA Four Diamond Rosen Shingle Creek.
The project also includes extensive upgrades to Rosen Shingle Creek’s 524,000 SF event space. According to the official press release, the renovation reimagines every hallway and guest room floor to ceiling and was conceptualized and driven entirely by RHR’s in-house design team. The company says the work will total more than $150 million once complete, with Rosen Plaza finishing this fall and Rosen Shingle Creek, the company’s flagship property, wrapping in 2027.
Rosen Shingle Creek, rated Orlando’s top convention hotel in 2026 by U.S. News & World Report, sits on 255 acres along Shingle Creek, the headwaters of the Florida Everglades. Its renovated rooms blend Mediterranean Revival design with modern touches, including “rich walnut finishes, sculptural lighting, and curated artwork.” Bathroom upgrades will feature glass-enclosed walk-in showers, oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, and Italian travertine, alongside next-generation Wi-Fi and integrated smart-room technology. Parking facilities will also be upgraded to improve traffic flow and accessibility.
Rosen Plaza, founder Harris Rosen’s first convention hotel and located in the heart of Orlando’s convention district, will get a broad “reimagining” featuring renovated rooms with oversized windows, commissioned artwork, and contemporary bathrooms with speckled terrazzo flooring and Zellige-inspired wall tiles, along with integrated smart controls and updated Wi-Fi.

“I cannot be more excited about this renovation because it represents a transformational moment for our company,” Frank Santos, president and CEO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement. “Investing more than $150 million into these two iconic hotels demonstrates our unwavering commitment to providing world-class accommodations and award-winning guest service to our guests and the hospitality industry. It’s simply amazing, and I know Harris Rosen, our late founder, would be proud.”
Jack Rosen, the company’s manager of design and brand strategies, said the goal was to build immersive environments tied to each property’s identity. “We’re bringing each property’s unique story to life, creating immersive environments that spark connection, evoke emotion and reflect the local culture, all thoughtfully reimagined for the next generation of travelers,” he said.
Dan Giordano, vice president of corporate planning and development, said the renovation was designed to be felt immediately by guests. “I know our guests will notice the difference the moment they open the door,” he said. “They’ll notice everything from brighter spaces and richer materials to a sense of calm that carries through every corner.”
Rosen Hotels & Resorts, founded in 1974 by Harris Rosen, operates seven Orlando-area hotels, including convention properties Rosen Plaza, Rosen Centre and Rosen Shingle Creek, along with four leisure-focused Rosen Inn locations.
