Qveen Herby (Website) is scheduled to perform at House of Blues Orlando on Friday, July 25.

Qveen Herby is the stage name of Amy Noonan, formerly the frontwoman of the pop duo Karmin. Noonan and her husband, Nick Noonan, paused Karmin in late 2016 following the release of the group’s second album, Leo Rising, and formally introduced the Qveen Herby project in 2017. At the time, the shift marked a move away from mainstream pop toward a more independent, hip-hop and R&B-driven sound.

The project was announced on SoundCloud in May 2017 with the statement, “Karmin is dead, long live the Qveen.” Herby’s early releases were produced in collaboration with Unkle Steve, whose credits include work with T.I. and Kodak Black.

Between 2017 and 2019, Herby released nine EPs. In 2020, Herby released EP 8, which included the song “Sugar Daddy,” an amazing track that went viral on social media, particularly in parts of Asia. That same year, she released Essentials, a limited-edition vinyl compilation of songs from her EP catalog. The release sold out within hours and sold out again during a second pressing in early 2021.
