Punk in the Park cancels all 2026 events including Orlando show over founder’s Trump donation

Punk In The Park (Website) has canceled all three 2026 Road Show dates, including a planned Orlando concert, after multiple bands dropped from the lineup over festival owner Cameron Collins’s donation to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

The traveling festival announced the cancellation on February 27 after The Adicts, one of the headlining acts, pulled out the night before, citing political reasons. The Dead Kennedys had announced earlier in the week that they would honor their existing commitments but would not participate in future Punk in the Park events.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the Punk in the Park road show events scheduled for 2026,” the festival posted on Instagram. “Unfortunately, the current climate surrounding the events has created challenges that make it impossible for us to move forward in a way that delivers the experience our fans, artists, and partners deserve.”

The three canceled dates were April 18 in Pittsburgh, May 2 in Orlando, and May 23 in Vallejo, California. All ticket holders will receive full refunds at their original point of purchase within the next week.

Collins, owner of Brew Ha Ha Productions, donated $225 to Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. The donation became public in 2025 and sparked immediate backlash. Dropkick Murphys dropped out of Punk in the Park last summer after learning about the donation, stating, “Punk rock and Donald Trump just don’t belong together.”

The controversy resurfaced this month when Dead Kennedys announced they had just become aware of Collins’s Trump support. The band said they would play their scheduled Pittsburgh and Vallejo dates out of respect for fans who already bought tickets, but would not book future Punk in the Park events.

“Dead Kennedys have always stood firmly against authoritarianism, racism, and fascism,” the band said in a statement.

Jello Biafra, the founding Dead Kennedys vocalist who is no longer in the band, criticized the current lineup’s decision. “They’re taking the money $$$, and THEN pulling out?” Biafra told Stereogum. “The real Dead Kennedys would never have let this happen in the first place.”

Other bands that dropped from the 2026 lineup include Naked Aggression, N8NOFACE, and 8 Kalacas. The Latino skacore band 8 Kalacas said their presence at the festival “would do more harm than good for the community we have fought alongside for years.”

The Adicts posted “Punk rock should unify us, not divide us” when announcing their exit on Thursday.
