THIS STORY IS MARKED AS SPONSORED BECAUSE THE ROOMS AND MEALS WERE COMPED, BUT WE DID NOT RECEIVE PAYMENT IN EXCHANGE FOR THE STORY, AND OUR OPINION IS OUR OWN.

The Orlando World Center Marriott (Website) at 8701 World Center Drive [GMap] is the world’s largest Marriott property with 2,010 rooms, 10 dining venues, a water park, an 18-hole golf course, and a full-service spa, all on one property located just 1.5 miles from Walt Disney World.

Orlando Shine photographer Dylan Duncan (Instagram | Website) spent some time there this past weekend and found it easy to fill a full day without leaving the resort, which is why they tend to refer to themselves as a cruise ship on land (the hotel, not Dylan).

The water park has three slides, including the Boomerango (425 feet), the Aquasphere (498 feet), and the Tailspin (525 feet), plus a 575-foot lazy river, a zero-entry aqua playground for younger kids, and private cabanas.

The adjacent Falls Pool Oasis is a 400,000-gallon zero-entry lagoon with two additional slides and a 90-foot speed slide, with four jumbo TVs for dive-in movies and poolside trivia.

Daily programming includes mermaid parties, meet-and-greets with the resort’s flamingo mascot Mingo, arts and crafts, animal encounters, and mini golf. The fitness center is 4,000 square feet and open 24/7 with an attached 1.5-mile walking and running track.

For dining, Mikado Japanese Steakhouse is the most-requested reservation on property with hibachi tableside dining, sushi, sake, and wine, open since 1986. Siro Urban Italian Kitchen covers pasta and pizza.

  • Latitude & Longitude does farm-to-table Southern cooking with a breakfast buffet.
  • The Lobby Bar runs a happy hour sushi program with small plates and cocktails.
  • High Velocity is the sports bar.
  • And somewhere on property is The Stock Room, a secret speakeasy open on select nights.

The full-service spa offers massages, facials, body scrubs, waxing, and more, with a steam room and meditation room. Hawk’s Landing Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Cupp Jr.

There’s also a complimentary Disney shuttle available for guests who do want to leave, but we hear it’s not that full.
