Pet Alliance of Orlando (Website) will host its 34th Annual Furball Gala on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista.
The event, presented by The Hensley Project, is Pet Alliance’s largest fundraiser of the year and directly supports its work rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming thousands of homeless cats and dogs each year.
This year’s theme, “Golden Age of Vinyl,” will center the evening around classic records and the era they came from. The gala includes a cocktail reception with wine, spirits, and passed hors d’oeuvres, time with adoptable puppies and kittens at the AAA Cares Cuddle Lounge, a Silent Auction, a three-course plated dinner and dessert (after you wash your hands), a Live Auction, a Bid from the Heart Mission Moment, and an after-party with booty shaking.
Lindsay Framstead, Pet Alliance’s interim executive director, said the gala represents one of the organization’s most important nights of the year.
“Furball is so much more than a great evening out; it’s one of the most important nights of the year for Pet Alliance and a celebration of what we can accomplish together for the animals who depend on us,” Framstead said. “Our Golden Age of Vinyl theme is going to make this year’s event incredibly fun, but the real reason we gather is to give thousands of dogs and cats a second chance. Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured and auction bid placed helps provide shelter, medical care and loving homes for pets in our community.”
