PDQ (Website) has announced it will permanently close three of its Orlando-area restaurants by September 14. The locations affected are in Winter Park, Waterford Lakes, and Hunter’s Creek.
The company shared the update via email with its loyalty customers over the weekend, notifying customers that operations at the three sites will end in mid-September. The closure also came with the announcement that they would be reopening some of the locations under a new brand, though no other information has been shared at the time of this post. We have a copy of the email attached below.
PDQ, short for “People Dedicated to Quality,” first opened in Tampa in 2011 and quickly grew across Florida with a focus on chicken tenders, sandwiches, and salads. The brand has seen rapid expansion followed by a wave of consolidations in recent years, including closures in other markets outside Central Florida.
The Winter Park restaurant, located on South Orlando Avenue, was one of the chain’s highest-profile Orlando entries when it opened. The Waterford Lakes and Hunter’s Creek locations were also among PDQ’s suburban anchors in East and South Orlando.
Customers are encouraged to use rewards points or app promotions at the affected stores before the September 14 closing date.
